High School Youth

You can't teach faith.  You catch faith!  Sr. High Youth are invited to catch the faith and share it with others.  Some events are focused on your needs - some events events might include other groups - some events allow teens to share their gifts.  We offer variety in a nurturing community.

Teen Faith and Family Time

During our social distancing adventure, we ask our Middle School youth and High Schoolers to sit down with your parents and TALK.  Use the attached link to the ELCA Faith Lens lessons.  Parents and youth can alternate leading the discussions. Faith Lens begins with a current events story faithful discussion and then a second discussion that relates the weekly Gospel to today’s world.

Lutheran Youth Organization

Lutheran Youth Organization

The LYO of the Southeastern Iowa Synod is a ministry of, for, by, and among youth. It exists to support congregational youth ministries and to provide opportunities for youth to gather to be encouraged in their faith and build relationships with each other and God. As a result, the youth are able to have a voice that is heard, recognized, and valued by the entire Church while being inspired and equipped to witness and serve others in the name of Jesus Christ.
