At Faith, there’s a place for everyone—from our Wednesday Night Live program to our middle school and high school activities, and everything in between. No matter your age, you’ll find a community where you can connect, grow, and make great friendships.
And here’s the fun part: Faith doesn’t have just one youth group… we have many! Kids and teens can jump into Sunday School, children’s programs, Vacation Bible School, Day Camp, middle school gatherings, Sr. High events, and even multigenerational adventures. There’s always something happening and always room for you.
We believe you don’t just learn faith—you catch it by being part of a caring community. Our children, youth, and teens are invited to experience faith in action and share their gifts with others. Some events focus on specific age groups, others bring everyone together, and all of them help young people feel seen, supported, and encouraged.
Come discover the variety. Come enjoy the community. Come catch the faith with us!

Sunday School
Begins in the Sanctuary at 10:10 AM!
Sunday School at Faith Lutheran Church is a joyful and engaging ministry for children and youth, and Sunday School is always free. We welcome preschoolers through 5th graders to participate in fun, age-appropriate learning, while Middle School and High School students gather each week for their own Sunday Morning Group that focuses on meaningful discussion and Bible engagement.
Our lessons highlight the big stories of the Bible, beginning with Old Testament themes in the fall, moving into Advent during December, and exploring the New Testament throughout the winter and spring.
Each Sunday begins at 10:10 AM in Faith’s sanctuary with music, motion and prayer. After this energetic opening, children, youth and teens head to their classrooms for Bible stories, games, music, crafts, and faith-filled time with friends and caring leaders. Join us as we learn, grow, and celebrate God’s love together.

Wednesday Night Live
Wednesday Night Live is a mid-week adventure your kids will look forward to! Each week is filled with learning, storytelling, fun activities, and conversations about what God’s love means in their everyday lives. There’s laughter, friendship, worship, and a shared meal—everything that helps kids feel connected and cared for.
Children and youth in grades 2–12 are invited to join us.
Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where every child knows they matter. We nurture caring conversations, encourage practical discipleship, and help kids learn how to talk about faith in a way that feels natural and real. It’s a safe, positive place for kids to grow—in confidence, in friendships, and in faith.
We’d love to partner with you on this journey!

2026 Vacation Bible School
July 20-24 — 6:00 - 8:00 PM
“God’s New Creation” is fun, faith-filled week that connects kids with God’s work in the world. Through Bible stories, crafts, games, music, and snacks, they’ll learn how farming families around the globe are working to end hunger. Each day offers hands-on activities and meaningful lessons that show how even small steps can make a big difference.
We invite your family to be part of this exciting program and see how children can lead the way in sharing hope, joy, and God’s love.
Wednesday Night Sr. High Group
Looking for a place to chill, laugh, ask real questions, and make a difference? Come hang out with us on Wednesday nights from 7:00–8:30 PM!
We kick things off with a relaxed vibe—grab a spot in the Youth Room, finish up a little homework, catch up with friends, or just unwind. Then around 7:30 PM, things get moving with games, conversations that actually matter, moments to breathe and pray, bonfires, service projects, and plenty of laughs along the way.
And here’s the best part: you help shape what we do. Your ideas and leadership make this group what it is.
We start back up on September 10th, 2025. Bring a friend, bring your questions, bring your awesome self—see you there!
Affirming Our Faith — Confirmation
We’re excited to welcome all 7th and 8th graders to a new year of Confirmation! Classes begin Wednesday, September 10, 2025, and we can’t wait to explore faith, questions, and community together.
Our class meets on Wednesdays from 5:30–6:25 PM in the church library, following the Wednesday Night Live schedule. After class, everyone is invited to enjoy Family Time—a shared meal from 6:30–7:00 PM. It’s a great chance to connect, laugh, and build relationships.
A quick reminder: confirmation isn’t about earning salvation—that’s already God’s gift to you. Instead, this is a time for thoughtful, meaningful exploration of what it means to live as Lutheran Christians. Your encouragement, presence, and involvement in the life of the church truly help shape this experience for your student.
What’s expected during the year?
Attending weekly confirmation class
Being part of Sunday morning worship
Completing 15 sermon notes per year
Memorizing selected portions of Luther’s Small Catechism
Writing a personal faith statement
Showing a sincere, genuine desire to be confirmed
We’re looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, growing, and affirming our faith together!
Overnights
Get ready for some of the most epic nights of the year! Faith hosts both Winter Overnights and “School’s Out!” Overnights for all youth in 6th–12th grade, and they’re packed with everything teens love.
Our amazing crew of college alumni and adult leaders help run the night—but the energy? That comes from you. Expect hours of laughs, late-night games, legendary snacks, and the kind of conversations that go way deeper than small talk. We pull out all the stops: chill hangout spaces, wild group games, moments to explore faith in real ways, and—when the weather’s right—a bonfire that feels straight out of a movie.
You’ll come for the fun…
You’ll stay for the friendships…
And you’ll leave already counting down to the next one.
Bring your friends, bring your curiosity, and bring your best late-night energy. Overnights at Faith are where memories are made.
Confirmation Canoe Trip
June 15–19, 2025
For youth entering 7th–9th grade (and older teens are welcome too!)
Get ready for one of the most unforgettable adventures Faith offers—our annual Confirmation Canoe Trip! For five incredible days, we’ll paddle the beautiful Crow Wing River in Minnesota, explore Itasca State Park, visit the historic Rapid River Logging Camp, and wrap things up with a fun day in Minneapolis.
This is the trip everyone talks about—the one packed with late-night laughter, surprise moments, inside jokes, and memories you’ll still be sharing years later. You’ll canoe through stunning wilderness, spot wildlife, cook amazing camp meals, and stare up at more stars than you’ve ever seen. Plus, you’ll grow closer to friends (and make new ones), have real conversations about life and faith, and enjoy the kind of adventure that feels like a summer movie.

EWALU
Get ready for a summer your kids will talk about all year long! Faith Lutheran Church is excited to offer partial and full scholarships for youth to attend our ELCA partner camp: Camp Ewalu in beautiful Strawberry Point, Iowa.
Camp Ewalu has been a beloved part of Lutheran life in Eastern Iowa since 1961—and it just keeps getting better. Every summer, more than 800 youth head to Ewalu for a week (or more!) of adventure, friendships, outdoor fun, and unforgettable faith moments. From day camps to weeklong programs and environmental education experiences, Ewalu is a place where kids grow, explore, and discover who God made them to be.
What makes Ewalu special?
Camp Ewalu uses a small-group camping model that helps kids feel included, supported, and known. Campers get tons of hands-on experiences, counselors take on real leadership, and the whole 500+ acres of forest becomes a giant place to explore. Whether it’s hiking, swimming, singing around a campfire, trying new skills, or sharing faith stories under the stars, Ewalu brings out the best in kids and teens.
And families love it too—because Ewalu is safe, welcoming, faith-centered, and built around helping kids grow in confidence and community.
This summer, let your child discover:
Deep friendships
Big adventures in God’s creation
Joyful worship and meaningful conversations
Caring counselors
Memories that last a lifetime
Thanks to Faith’s scholarship support, camp is more accessible than ever.
We want every child and teen who wants to experience Ewalu to get the chance.
Let’s make this summer one they’ll never forget!
